Rest In Peace

6:23 PM A few days ago my grandmother, who lives at my aunt's house, was suddenly sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for diarrhea. The days before that she was perfectly healthy. It went downhill so fast. 2 days ago my family went to visit her. She looked so weak. She kept talking and we realised she was praying and she kept saying "Amen". It was as if she knew she was going to leave us... We were told by the families of other patients in the ward, as well as the patient themselves, that the day before she was very active and fine. She kept talking to the other patients and visitors and giving them the 2 thumbs up sign, telling them that there's nothing to worry and encouraging them. Yesterday the doctor said that she was in critical condition and could go anytime. Today I left my house and headed for the hospital. When I reached there I went to eat my lunch at Subway before visiting her. Then i had a stomachache and spent quite awhile in the toilet. After that went I went to the counter, I was delayed cos i didn't know the bed number or the patient's IC. Finally i managed to go up and to the ward. Apparantly within 5 seconds of when I reached the room, I saw my grandma gasp her last breath of air.. She passed away around 3.29pm and was officially pronounced dead by the doctors at 3.47pm(if i rmb correctly). Looking around at my aunties weeping faces and then at her motionless body. She looks quite well and beautiful for someone who's 91 years old. She was like a child full of innocence and untainted by the world. That was how my parents, uncles and aunties treated her, just like a small little girl. Cos she just seemed so pure and innocent. Although I wasn't close to her and seldom talked to her because she sorta forgot me haha.. i still feel the loss.. Often she would say to me, "Who are you?" when i would greet her XD. She didn't get angry and was always cheerful and talking to people and even strangers. She was well liked by everyone she met as far as I could tell. My grandma seemed so strong even till her last moments, definitely more than i'll be when my time comes.. She was always trusting God in everything. Her faith was unbreakable.
